Rejoicing in What God Did in March

A look back at March — from sharing Iranian home-cooked meals to studying how Jesus willingly walked toward the cross for us.

As we look back on March, we are thankful for the many ways God provided opportunities to serve, encourage students, and build relationships.

Ministry Highlights

  • With great privilege, I visited and enjoyed an Iranian home-cooked meal prepared by a student's wife.
  • Took a student to a couple of bike shops to get her scooter fixed.
  • Trusted God for Vibin to be in charge of the Friday dinner and Bible discussion, with the help of volunteers, while I was away.
  • Being grateful and feeling loved to receive gifts from students.
  • Studied the Life of Christ, leading up to Passion Week in April, at our weekly Friday on-campus gathering.
  • Continued our partnerships with other international student ministries through Tuesday/Thursday night Bible studies and relationship building.
  • Went to see the replica of the Shroud of Turin at a local Catholic Church.

Jesus Is In Control and He knew

One special encouragement for our students this month was learning that Jesus is in control and knew what would happen to Him, yet He was willing to endure the pain of His own disciples’ betrayal (Judas) and denial (Peter). Ultimately, He suffered and died on the cross in our place. By His wounds we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Our students were eager to learn more about what would happen to Judas and Peter. We continue studying the crucifixion, resurrection, and Jesus’ restoration of Peter.

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

Would you join me in prayers?

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7).

Thank you again for walking alongside us in prayer and support!

  1. Please pray that God continues to draw students to Bible Discussion.
  2. Pray that the Lord would provide volunteers who love Christ and enjoy befriending students at the Friday dinner and discussion.
  3. Please pray that the Lord will provide internships and jobs to students who need them.
  4. We will discuss Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection, as well as the stories of Judas and Peter. Please pray that students will see God's mercy and love.
  5. Please keep Vibin and me in your prayers, especially for our marriage.

Praises

  1. We join you and your loved ones in celebrating Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Praise the Father for Jesus, His Son, for His death that paid for our sins and His resurrection that gives us new life and hope.
